During Michelle’s five years of working closely with a Medical and Cosmetic Dermatologist she learned what it takes to help her client’s obtain optimal skin health and appearance, regardless of age. Perhaps more importantly, the correlation between beauty and health was learned. According to Michelle “a client’s appearance often impacts how they feel and, therefore, how they function.” One of her clients had said it best by saying: “If I look my best, I feel my best, which helps me to be my best.”

Beauty is health’s reward Looking our best starts with “healthy skin”, which is clear, has a smooth even surface, good blood flow, is rich in nutrients, is moisturized and consistently protected from free radical and UV ray damage. Aging skin/sun damaged skin, on the contrary, can present with wrinkles (Rhytids), hyperpigmentation, reduced elasticity, uneven skin color and texture, large pore size, growths (Actinic Keratosis, Seborrheic Keratosis, and Sebaceous hyperplasia) and broken blood vessels (Telangiectasia). *Michelle is currently taking the Nurse Practitioner program offered through the University of Athabasca, and is a member of the Dermatology Nurses Association (DNA), Alberta Society of Aesthetic Nurses (ASAN), Canadian Society for Aesthetic Specialty Nurses (CSASN), College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) and has been awarded “Top Dermatologic Nurse in Alberta” by the International Nurses Association July 2015.
