With more than 20 years of experience in nursing and a longstanding clinical background in dermatology and aesthetic medicine, Michelle Shewchuk, BScN, MN, NP, brings extensive knowledge and experience to patient care at DermNurse Medical Aesthetics. Early in her career, Michelle spent five years working closely alongside a Medical and Cosmetic Dermatologist, where she developed a strong foundation in skin health, dermatologic conditions and aesthetic treatments.

Michelle believes that aesthetic medicine is about more than appearance. When people feel confident in how they look, it can positively influence how they feel and how they show up in their everyday lives. This philosophy continues to guide her approach to care: helping patients look refreshed and feel confident while maintaining natural, individualized results.

As a Nurse Practitioner, Michelle’s clinical practice includes advanced medical aesthetic treatments, skin health, dermatologic concerns and hormone optimization. She is Board Certified in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine in the United States and has pursued extensive education and advanced training throughout her career.

Michelle is also the Founder of DermNurse Medical Aesthetics, a nurse-led medical aesthetics clinic established in 2016. Her approach combines clinical experience, evidence-informed care and a strong emphasis on comprehensive patient assessment, education and long-term skin health.

In 2015, Michelle was recognized by the International Nurses Association as “Top Dermatologic Nurse in Alberta.”
